- Infill site, 197,000 SF manufacturing building in an emerging healthcare enclave
- National recession and the flight of industry from the Eastern Shore of Maryland created a disposition challenge to the owner and community
- Building’s size and industrial nature limited stakeholders’ vision
Outcome:
- ACTIO addressed a key goal of the Mayor of Easton to create an after school venue for teenagers and introduced the site to the Junior Achievement for its Finance/Business Park program
- The site was sold to a local developer who aims, with the Junior Achievement as a community anchor, to develop a for-profit business and medical park
